de Ballet General Policies 2007 - 2008

Early bird tuition payments
are due on the 1st - 15th of each month. (Example, a $45 payment is
increased to $55 aftr the 15th of each month.) Students with a balance
of two months tuition on their accounts will not be permitted to take
class until the account is paid up. All accounts must be paid in full
prior to participation in the end of the year performance.

Tuition rates
are pro-rated equal payments based on a ten-month season and will
be the same rate each month from September through June, regardless
of the length of each month. A 10% discount is given for accounts
paid in full at the beginning of the season.

Returned Checks
- A $10.00 fee will be charged for returned checks. We will not accept
checks after two returned checks during the year.

Make up classes
for missed classes must be made within four weeks.

Costumes can be paid in full at registration or on a payment
basis. All costumes must be paid in full by December 15, 2007. Junior
performance costumes are $55, Intermediate $60 and Senior $65. A $10.00
late fee will apply on costume balances after that date. Pictures
may not be taken in costumes that have not been paid in full.

Pictures are taken mid-May 2008 during regular class times.
Sat. classes may be photographed on Fri. of picture week, if necessary.
The purchase of pictures is optional. Payment is made directly to
Hampton Roads Photography on picture day.

Attendance - Students should arrive a few minutes before class
and be picked up promptly afterwards. Late students may be asked to
observe class instead of participating if the teacher determines there
has been insufficient warm-up time to prevent injuries. Unattended
students, siblings, and guests are not allowed at the studio anytime.
Please do not leave children at the studio outside of class time while
you run errands. We cannot assume responsibility for them.

Withdrawals - One month's written notice must be given for
all students moving or withdrawing. No withdrawals are permitted after
December 15th without paying for the remainder of the year.

Age Requirement - Students must be fully toilet trained and
3 year olds must be 3 by Sept. 7, 2007

Spring
Performance - End of the year performances will be held in Willett
Hall in Portsmouth on June 21st.
The Jr. Performance is 11:00 am,
Int. Performance is 2:00 pm, and the
Sr. Performance is 7:00 pm.
Dress rehearsals are the day before on Friday June 20th.

$10 will be added after the 15th of the month

Returned
Check Fee:$10.00 will be charged for any returned check. We will not accept
checks after an account has been charged for 2 returned checks.
Commitment
Clause: By registering for the 2007-2008
season, I realize that I am obligated for the tuition, late fees, and
costume fees based on my enrollment paid in monthly installments. I also
realize that I have through January 1st to withdraw from classes without
further financial obligation. Withdrawal after that date will require
a $200.00 withdrawal fee.
Dress
Code:
Females taking ballet: Hair secured in a bun, black leotard, pink
tights, pink ballet shoes. No skirts. No jewelry or watches. Intermediate,
advanced, and adults may wear any dark, solid color leotards. Leotards
must be modest, with liners to be used on camisoles and if necessary.
Males taking ballet: White t-shirt, black shorts, black tights,
and white or black ballet shoes. Check with instructors for further information.
Tap, lyrical, hip-hop, & jazz classes: Dancewear must be worn.
Solid color leotards with tights, biker shorts, or fitted Capri pants.
Hair must be pulled back. No street clothes are to be worn in class. No
all-bare legs.
